WE hit HEB supermarket this morning for groceries and snacks for a football game on the TV.  The Texas supermercado has excellent products and great customer service.

The Dallas Cowboys won after a struggle against the Detroit Lions.

The Barbecue-Flavored Trail Mix was very delicious!

KOJAK ON SATURDAY MORNINGS

KOJAK was a very excellent TV show back in the 1970s starring Telly Savalas as Lieutenant Theo Kojak. New York Ciry is his base of operation. The Manhattan South precinct.

The writing was outstanding. There was never a boring episode. WE watched it as kids wuth Mom and Dad.

Now 3 episodes are broadcast on COZI TV which shows re-runs of classic television programs.

KOJAK is definitely a Clasico!

WHEN PHONE BOOKS WERE HUGE

Phone books were huge. You could use them as door stops.

Now they are nice and slim.

It's just not the same!

CONSPIRACY COOKIES: RUSSIAN SHOT BY BORDER PATROL IN ARIZONA

Oatmeal conspiracy cookies with hot coffee. The Border Patrol shot a Russian man attempting to enter the United States of America illegally.

Was this the Russian James Bond trying to rescue President Donald Trump from impeachment and the evil Democrats?

Maybe Russian James Bond was going to save Trump and Mike Pence? Maybe he would help them join Evo Morales?

Evo Morales was ousted out of power in a bloodless manner in Bolivia.  He  claims it was a golpe de estado aka a coup. He resigned and is now enjoying political exile in Mexico.

Mmmm...oatmeal cookies!

APPLEBEE'S

Julie and I hit APPLEBEE'S on a Friday night. It was a festive scene. Traffic outside was roaring with night life. The crowd of folks at the neighborhood's favorite restaurant was a mixture of high school football revelers and those out for a dining experience. Dates, retirees and a few loners.

The food was delicious. The place was noisy.  In a noisy good way.
